Miniature Rotary Engine

This new 4-stroke engine principle has no crankshaft and no camshaft. There are radially free-moving pistons in a rotor.

When the rotor rotates, the pistons move along the oval inner wall of the housing, resulting in two strokes of the pistons per revolution.

One stroke is used to suck in the gas-air mixture and compress the working gases, while the subsequent stroke is used for expansion and to expel the working gases.

This process is controlled by a centrally fixed axle with holes and slots. Ignition is provided by four spark plugs located in the rotor.

The model engine is mounted on a base plate. The speed of the engine can be regulated via the throttle valve on the tank.

It is started with a cable pull.
